The BMW M3 E46 is part of the third generation of the BMW M3, produced from 2000 to 2006. The car was designed by Wolfgang Ziebart, Chris Bangle, Wolfgang Reitzle and Erik Goplen. The M3 appears for a very brief time in Furious 7 as a background car.
This version of the M3 is very different from the Red Line Club-exclusive 2006 BMW M3; this casting is based on a modified BMW M3 with a widebody and parts from the M3 CSL, whereas the other casting depicts a stock BMW M3. Both are also done by different designers.
