The Mitsubishi 3000GT, known as the GTO in Japan, is a grand touring sports car manufactured by Mitsubishi from 1990 to 2000 over a single generation. Designed by Masaru Suzuki, the 3000GT was also sold as the Dodge Stealth in the United States which was essentially a badge-engineered 3000GT; the car was not marketed as the GTO outside of Japan with the concern that customers would object to the use of “GTO” on a Japanese vehicle, when it was already used on such cars like the Ferrari 250 and 288 GTO and the Pontiac GTO. The VR-4 featured all-wheel drive and a twin-turbocharged 3.0L 6G72 V6.
